This is the type of teaching many of us are familiar with – a child has tuition with a teacher in an instrument at school. In certain situations where we have tutors who specialise in teaching Early Years music, we can offer tuition for younger children with the agreement of tutor, parent and school. Our provision is for those aged 5 – 18, although we can accept children who are 4 who turn 5 during that academic year.

The curriculum focus for the school is performing arts and the functional skills that young people need when leaving school. The curriculum team works closely with therapists to ensure the correct physical and emotional support is available at all times. The school has a restorative approach to learning and behaviour management which incorporates therapies such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, music, speech and language therapies where these are part of the young person's EHCP. The school provides a safe learning environment for children who suffer with high levels of anxiety which can result in a lack of focus and challenging behaviour. All students that attend the school have a designated Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) which details their specific needs in terms of the care and support they will have access to. The school is based in near Reigate, Surrey and provides support for children aged 9-16 years who have a range of learning and behavioural needs. Are you a qualified Music Tutor? Do you have a passion for working with students who have additional learning needs such as Autism and Down's Syndrome? If so, this is the ideal opportunity for you.
